Design Thinking in Action

Turning ambiguity into clarity through human-centered design
I use empathy, iteration, and innovation to design solutions that are not just functional — but meaningful.

1

Empathize

Real conversations, data gathering, and observation inform every insight.

2

Define

I define clear problem statements grounded in empathy.

3

Ideate

4

Prototype

5

Test

I define clear problem statements grounded in empathy.

I use Figma and other tools to bring ideas to life, fast.

I validate concepts with users and adapt based on their real feedback.

Design Thinking in Practice

Project Summary:
A real-world exploration of how retail security systems — body cams and radios — could be better integrated in local stores. My team had minimal input and no templates; I led both the product and design efforts.

Key Highlights:

  • Conducted empathy interviews with store owners and anonymous ex-offenders

  • Created detailed empathy maps and ideation canvases in Mural

  • Built lo-fi and hi-fi prototypes in Figma

  • Received Top Innovation recognition from UF Innovate

Visual Suggestions:

  • Carousel of sketches, empathy maps, or sticky note boards

  • GIF or scrollable embed of the Figma prototype

“The future belongs to those who can connect empathy with innovation.”

Design Thinking is more than a process — it’s a mindset.
It helps me balance technical precision with human intuition.
It pushes me to stay curious, collaborative, and always user-first.
